If you’ve never attended The Dubai Muscle Show before or are not very involved with sports and fitness, then you may have no idea what it’s even about. Hint: it’s not a muscle car show displaying American-made sports cars with high-performing engines. Dubai Muscle Show is Dubai’s only international bodybuilding and fitness show, and the only globally recognised show of its king in the Middle East. Last year’s event, held October 21-22, 2016, attracted over 10,000 attendees, 100 exhibitors from 20 countries, 123 media representatives, and some of the biggest names in bodybuilding such as Lazar Angelov, Ulisses Jr., Andrea Brazier, Jay Cutler, and Ronnie Coleman.

The Dubai Muscle Show is a congregation of bodybuilders and fitness enthusiasts from all over the world and of all ages and backgrounds, featuring Mr. Olympias and WBFF champions alongside casual spectators. Accompanying the main event, the show featured the UAE’s largest ever amateur bodybuilding contest, the International Federation of Bodybuilding and Fitness (IFBB) featuring over 300 bodybuilders from various countries. The goal of the amateur competition is to “create successful competition among male and female athletes in the region while maintaining the real essence of bodybuilding in its purest form.”

As this show and the main event demonstrate, the event is open to athletes of all abilities and interests and the event truly benefits all who attend. For fitness enthusiasts, it is an opportunity to meet some of their favorite athletes, attend seminars, and view or participate in various challenges. For celebrity bodybuilders, it is an opportunity to connect with their fans. For the 100+ fitness and nutrition brands in attendance (such as Quest Nutrition, Muscletech and Cellucor), it is an opportunity to build brand awareness and take advantage of sponsorship opportunities.

For anyone interested in fitness and bodybuilding, this is one event you would not want to miss! If you did miss last year’s event, however, there’s no need to worry because Dubai Muscle Show 2017 will be held December 8-9, 2017 at the Dubai World Trade Centre and it’s projected to have an even larger turnout than last year.
